RSS feed What is RSS for?

You may well be familiar with the orange RSS button from websites such as the BBC or national newspapers where it is often described as a newsfeed. The same technology employed there, bringing the latest news you are specifically interested in to your desktop, has now been implemented on the Bruce & Co website. The latest businesses for sale which match your search criteria will be displayed in the way you choose without you having to check the Bruce & Co website manually.

Using the RSS button

On the Search page, the button will appear whenever you carry out a search. If you use a browser such as Firefox or Opera, clicking the button will allow you to subscribe to the feed from that search whenever you open the browser. That means you can always have sight of the latest businesses matching your requirements from the computer you first did the search. You can create feeds for as many different searches as you like. If you access the Web from different computers you might like to add the Bruce RSS feed to a web-based newsreader such as MyYahoo, Bloglines or Google Reader. Again from Firefox this is a one-click operation. From Internet Explorer you will need to copy the URL and paste it to the newsreader of your choice.
